With an overall mortality rate of less than 2 percent, Duke's Pediatric and Congenital Cardiovascular Surgery Program continues to produce outcomes that meet or exceed the Society of Thoracic Surgeons benchmarks, even in patients with the most complex malformations.
The ideal candidate will have broad experience in neonatal, infant and adult congenital cardiac surgery, including transplantation and mechanical circulatory support, with a track record of exemplary clinical results. Successful hire will have a demonstrated passion for clinical care, and research, plus teaching and mentoring medical students, surgery residents, fellows, and ancillary staff.
