Mercy is recruiting an additional OB/Hospitalist to meet growing demand at Mercy Hospital - Fort Smith, Arkansas. Our hospital covers an extensive patient population of nearly 500,000 lives and is the regional leader for obstetrics and infant care.
Are you passionate about providing exceptional care in a supportive and well-equipped environment?
High Birth Volume: Handle 220-270 births per month, with laborists managing 30-50 cases and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) delivering about 10% of those.
Focused Shift Work: Enjoy 24-hour shifts dedicated solely to L&D and the OB Emergency Department (OB ED), with no responsibilities for the general floor, GYN, or main ED.
State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work in two dedicated ORs on L&D, with access to main OR rooms if needed.
24/7 Support: Benefit from in-house anesthesia and neonatology, with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) available virtually around the clock.
Collaborative Staffing: Join a team of 10 local OBGYNs (9 integrated/employed), with an expected net increase of one OBGYN in the fall.
